  • You can do anything you want to in life
  • Everything is NOT about NOT stuttering
  • Even though I stutter, I am ok and I am happy
  • If I get teased I want to tell my mom, but I want to handle it myself
  • Stuttering makes you, you
  • My parents are worried that I won’t make friends
  • Its OK to stutter
  • Parents are worried I might stutter for the rest of my life
  • It’s OK to talk about stuttering
  • There are many people who stutter out there, it’s not the end of the world
  • My parents should not be worried about me
  • I can still be happy even though I stutter
  • Don’t rush me, I need to take my time talking, don’t cut me off
  • Stuttering is NOT FUN!!
  • It’s not bad to stutter
  • It’s important that people hear what I say, so don’t interrupt me

  • It’s ok to stutter.  It’s just the way you are

  • There’s nothing wrong if you stutter.  Its not your fault you stutter
  • This is how we are. Some people just have to stutter
  • I don’t care if people talk about it at school
  • Stuttering can be easier if you have strategies
  • If you talk to kids who bug you and tease you and they still won’t stop---get an adult to help
  • It helped when my speech teacher came to class and explained to the other kids what stuttering is
  • Talk to other kids and let them know what stuttering is
  • Tell your friends that you stutter so they don’t get confused about it
  • It’s ok.  Stuttering doesn’t bother me as much as it bothers you
  • I’m ok.  I have friends, I am successful
  • Be open with teachers, tell them you stutter
