This year marks the 25th anniversary of FRIENDS. The existence of FRIENDS has impacted many, many lives. The lives of those that stutter, the lives of those that love someone who stutters, and the lives of those that dedicate their professional lives to the stuttering community. Lives have been changed for the better. People who stutter find acceptance and a community through the FRIENDS programming, one-day conferences, mentoring, SLP training, and annual conventions.

For the past 25 years, FRIENDS relied solely on volunteers, including the volunteer Executive Director, and donations from those very people seeking acceptance and a community. We now need your help to continue for another 25 years. FRIENDS and the Development and Advancement Board are targeting a goal of $100,000 for the 2022-2023 Operational Budget. A well-funded operational budget will afford us the opportunity to recruit and pay the necessary professionals to continue the life-changing programming and services FRIENDS offers to the stuttering community and their families. Hiring full-time staff, including a full-time, paid Executive Director to run FRIENDS and keep it viable for years to come.
